Born in São Miguel do Oeste, Brazil
What he likes: Olimpio likes to wander around taking photos, as well as cinema and cuisine. He loves to travel, especially going back to Brazil to see his family, discover new areas and enjoy the beach.
Olimpio recommends: the Juan Perez American Market
The Juan Perez American Market is an unusual place, unknown to tourists. It is a huge thrift shop spread across two stores where you can find any type of clothing and accessories at very different prices, ranging from $5 to $15,000.
It’s like a treasure hunt, we search and search trying to find those hidden gems that our closets have been missing! However, the two stores are fairly well organised which makes exploring a bit easier. You can find all styles, from formal dresses, to punk clothes to ski gear.
Designers also come here in search of inspiration for future collections. Some dealers also work with factories and sell the old and unsold items. Most of the clothing and accessories are recent and in good condition. However, if you stumble across an original clothing brand, it is usually a good idea to take a closer look…
